Silent celiac disease is also known as asymptomatic celiac disease. Some people may show no symptoms at all, but still have damage to the smaller intestine. Long-term complications could happen not staying on the gluten-free diet, so people with silent celiac disease may find it difficult to remain on the diet. Do You Have Celiac Disease?
Adults are not as likely to have digestive symptoms, only 1/3rd of adults experience diarrhea symptoms. Adults are more likely to have:
